Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has announced FIFA Disciplinary Committee comprising a chairman, two vice-chairmen and 18 members. Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) President Faisal Saleh Hayat is among members that belong to 20 countries around the globe.

Faisal is also the only person from Pakistan to hold the unique and unprecedented honour of having been elected in one of the FIFA Committees and Judicial Bodies. Also Chairman of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Disciplinary Committee, Faisal is one of the two Asians (other being Martin Hong of Hong Kong) in the body.

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee investigates, inquire and take appropriate sanctions against National Associations, club officials or players for any violation of statutes, rules and regulations. Any official including the chairman whose National Associations, club, officials or players is involved shall not participate in the proceedings of the committee. The committee has also appointed officials to the Disciplinary Committee for tournaments organised by the FIFA. All decisions of the committee are final unless the Appeals Committee reverses them.
